Apple Music Classical has now been made available for Android devices. You can download it from Google Play Store. 9to5Mac was the first to notice this.
Apple announced that it would release a classical music application by the end last year after acquiring Primephonic, a streaming classical music service. Apple missed their target by a couple of months, and the standalone app was not released on the iPhone until the end of March
Apple Music Classical is available to subscribers of Apple Music and Apple One. The app includes thousands of recordings with spatial audio and 192 kHz/24-bit lossless audio. Primephonic’s detailed metadata is also retained, which makes it easier to search through the massive library.
Apple Music Classical is now available on Android, beating out the release of an iPad and Mac optimized app. 9to5Mac points out that this is because Primephonic has already released an app for the operating system and Apple Music Classical simply takes its place.
