Canva has introduced a number of new features, including an AI-powered suite of tools and a brand new hub. Today, the company revealed new tools and features during its Canva Create virtual conference.
Assistant will be available from the company. It allows users to search for design elements, and gives them quick access to all features. It can provide suggestions on styles and graphics that will match your design. Assistant gives you quick access to AI-powered design tools such as Magic Write, the platform’s AI copywriting assistant. It was launched in December.
Magic Write is now available in all Canva project types. This includes Presentations, Social Media Graphics, Flyers, and others. Magic Write was previously only available in Canva Docs.
Magic Write can be used to write website copy and summaries. Magic Write can help you brainstorm social media strategies for a product launch. When suggesting copy, the tool considers your project type. Canva also announced that Magic Write will now be available in 18 languages.
Canva also offers a new way for automatic presentation generation. The editor can be prompted to create a variety of presentations, each with a slide outline and content. The company’s “Magic Design” tool allows users to upload images and then choose a style. This will give you a selection of customized templates that you can personalize.
A new Magic Edit feature allows you to add or remove anything from an image. Magic Edit allows you to identify the area where you wish to add it and then to describe it. You can now use Magic Eraser to remove unwanted details from images by simply brushing the area.
Canva is also launching “Beat Sync,” a feature that automatically matches video footage with a soundtrack of your choosing. There’s also a new “Translate”, which automatically translates text in designs into over 100 languages.
Canva will introduce a number of new features, including the AI-powered tools.
The company will first launch “Draw,” which allows you to draw a simple shape like a circle and have it transformed into a polished circle. The new “Layouts” feature allows users add content to pages and receive layout suggestions. “Styles” allows users to browse suggested fonts and color palettes.
The new “Layers” tool allows you to view all elements together, including text, images, and video.
Alt Text is now available in Canva. This allows you to add extra context to images and elements, to help those with visual impairments or accessibility needs. Arial, Courier and Times New Roman are just a few of the 953 new fonts that have been added to Canva.
Brand Hub is also being launched by the company. This hub will offer a variety of tools and features that help teams keep their brand consistent. A new Magic Replace tool allows users to update brand assets such as logos across all designs.
The hub also includes tools to help you create brand folders, templates, and guidelines. Canva also allows admins to approve workflows. This ensures that designs are approved and reviewed before being published.
Melanie Perkins, Canva’s co-founder, stated that Canva was founded ten years ago with the vision of empowering everyone to design any project, regardless of their skill or experience. We are thrilled to bring to life that vision with a new set of features. These features will allow brands to scale their creativity. We are reinventing the design process as technology advances. It is now easier than ever to get what you have in your head onto a page and put it out there faster than ever.
Canva was launched in 2013 and now boasts over 120 million monthly users. This is 35 million more than the number of Canva’s Visual Worksuite users in September 2022. Canva claims that more than 15 million designs have been created through its platform.
