OpenAI has released a new update for ChatGPT that takes advantage of the iPad’s entire screen. The ChatGPT iOS and iPadOS app has been updated to include drag-and-drop, Siri support and Shortcuts.
ChatGPT now runs full screen on Apple tablets instead of an iPhone app on a larger display. The iPad version has not changed much, you still have the chat interface with options to choose between GPT-3.5 and GPT-4. OpenAI also added drag-and-drop support, so that messages can be moved from the chat interface to other apps.
This update allows you to summon ChatGPT via Siri and integrate the chatbot into Apple’s Shortcuts. You can generate a ChatGPT question in Shortcuts and use it to launch a new conversation.
OpenAI has improved its ChatGPT iOS and iPadOS app since launched the mobile version last month . Recent updates have made improvements to chat histories and voice input. In the near future, OpenAI also plans to launch an Android app. OpenAI introduced a ChatGPT premium subscription in February, ChatGPT plus. This offers priority access to the GPT-4 model and is only $20 per month.
