Gmail has always placed ads on the top of Promotions and Social Inboxes. However, it did not dare to place them between HTML It’s even harder to tell the difference between emails and ads with the new placement, even though the promotions are marked by the green “Ad” symbol. This is not clear whether this is a test or a gradual implementation. I haven’t seen any ads in my email yet.
