Instagram is currently testing a feature that allows you to add music to your photo carousels. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg shared the news via his Instagram broadcast channel. He noted that it is already available in “a few countries, with more to follow.”
Although Instagram has a similar feature which allows you to add songs to photos, it seems more logical to add them to a carousel. You can now listen to a song while you scroll through the photos of a carousel, instead of playing a clip as you look at one photo.This is how it looks after you add a note with a song.Image: Instagram
Zuckerberg has also revealed that Instagram is currently testing a feature to add music into Notes. This is the AIM like feature that allows you to share a status with your friends. You can see in the short video (shown above) how you will be able to select and add a section of a song into your Note. This is similar to adding music to a post or reel. Above your status, friends can see the title of the song as well as the artist.
Meta has declined to specify specific locations. We do not know yet which countries the features are available.
