CNBC reported that Google plans to use artificial Intelligence to help companies create advertisements. The documents obtained by the outlet indicate that Google is looking to create assets for advertisers to use in their ads using its new language model.
This is in line with an article from the Financial Times published in April. It stated, similarly, that Google would soon be able to create ads using images, videos, and text provided by advertisers. Google’s AI language model can be used in other ways as well. CNBC reported that Google was also exploring ways to use its AI model in order to give YouTubers video ideas. It could also integrate a chatbot with the Play Store, Gmail and Maps for customer support.
Meta, the Facebook-owned tech giant, is also looking to offer AI toolsets to advertisers. Meta has launched its AI Sandbox last week. This is the company’s “testing ground” for early versions of AI powered advertising tools. The company has been working on tools to help advertisers create “different message for different audiences” by creating background generation, image outcropping and text generation.
A report from the Information indicates that Amazon is working to create photos and videos that companies can use to create advertisements on its platform. It’s also reported that the company is developing a conversational AI tool to help customers compare products and answer their questions.
Google’s annual I/O conference took place last week. The company unveiled PaLM 2 as well as a plethora of AI features that are powered by this model. Google has also been working on AI notebooks that are trained using your documents and an AI listing builder for Play Store.
