Microsoft has launched a series of innovations over the past few weeks. Microsoft, which has invested millions in AI powerhouse OpenAI, recently integrated ChatGPT into its browser, search engine, and other applications.
Microsoft has unveiled the Microsoft 365 Copilot, which is designed to improve the company’s productivity tools using generative AI. Microsoft Loop, the new innovation from the US-based tech company, is now in development. Microsoft announced that “Something is coming” earlier this week via its dedicated Twitter account to Loop.
Microsoft first mentioned Loop in November 2021. Microsoft Loop consists of three elements: Loop components, Loop webpages, and Loop workspaces. These elements can be used across multiple platforms and are live content.
What is Microsoft Loop?
Loop is a Redmond-based tech company that is preparing to launch its latest products. However, not much information has been released about it. Loop could be described as a project board that allows one to list all elements, such as Loop pages or components, and view who is working on them.
There are speculations that Loop could be a new File Explorer, which is collaborative and can host a collection of live contents. Loop pages can be thought to be individual canvas that allow people to share and collaborate.
Loop will reportedly use a Fluid Framework platform open-source platform to enable Microsoft 365 users share content in real time. This can be a great way to track the progress of different projects and manage your work.
Microsoft Loop consists of three main features:
Loop Components
Components allows users to work together in real time. You can have multiple employees working on the same document at once. The work will be updated live and synced across all Microsoft Apps, including Outlook, Word, Outlook, Pages, Word, and others.
A workforce can collaborate on tables, notes and lists using Components.
Loop Pages
Microsoft describes Pages as “flexible canvases” that allow users to share and collaborate with Loop Components. They pull in useful elements such files, links, and data.
Users can interact with each other by typing and editing their text. It acts as a whiteboard, where you can insert your components and work on them from anywhere you are.
Loop Workspaces
Workspaces provides Pages and Components a place to call home. It provides a place where everyone can track their progress in a single project hub. Workspaces allows you to easily check in and see where everyone is working, respond to others’ ideas, and track your team’s progress.
