Amazon announced in 2021 that SlingTV would be coming soon to Echo Show devices. Sling TV was available on the Echo Show 15 about a year before, but smaller Echo Show models were not supported. Sling TV is now available on Echo Show 8 devices and Echo Show 10. Sling TV is available by saying “Alexa, Open Sling TV”. You can also directly jump to a particular channel by saying, “Alexa watch [Channel name] on Sling.”

Amazon has finally delivered on its promise of bringing Sling TV to Echo Show 8 and 10 devices, but it is a little late. These devices were released more than two years ago. The Echo Show 10 does not come with the Fire TV interface . This means that they only have a limited selection of streaming apps such as Netflix Hulu and Amazon Prime Video. The Echo Show 15 comes with a selection of streaming apps such as Prime Video, Netflix Hulu, Disney Plus and YouTube TV.
Sling TV can be opened on the Echo Show using the command “Alexa, Open Sling TV”. You will then need to log in to your Sling TV Account. You can then navigate to specific channels using commands such as “Alexa, watch CNN on Sling”, while also using voice commands for pause, play and fast-forwarding content.
