Google Assistant’s integration with third-party note apps will cease on June 20th. This is according to a developer post informing the change. AnyList is in talks with Google regarding the change. It hopes to re-add integration at a later date.
Google Assistant Smart Displays, discovered by in April of this year, will no longer be supported
AnyList stated in its post integration with Amazon Alexa or Siri is still possible. There are currently four options in Google Assistant’s settings for note app integration: Any.do (or AnyList), Bring Shopping Lists (or Google Keep), and Google Keep. Google Keep may still be available after the changes.
Keep will not be integrated with Google Tasks. In February, announced that it would consolidate reminders from Google Assistant and Google Calendar. This means that anyone using Keep will not be able to benefit from the consolidation, as their reminders will not be added to Google Tasks.
Does this mean Keep, along with so many other beloved apps, will be a part of Google’s graveyard for third-party lists and notes? We have reached out to Google and will update you if we get a reply.
