Apple’s App Store had 1,783,232 total apps as of 2022. This is according to a Transparency Report that was published on its website. This is the first report to be published in connection with the $100 million settlement that Apple reached with App Store developers .
Apple stated that the report would contain “meaningful statistics” about the App Review Process, such as the number and types of apps rejected, the number and type of accounts deactivated by customers and developers, objective data on search queries, and the total number of removed apps from the App Store.
Apple’s first report includes statistics on the App Store, including the number of apps in the App Store, the number of apps that were removed, the categories where they were removed, and the apps that were removed due to government demands. In the report, Apple also states that 36,974,015 developers were registered and 428,487 developer account terminations. The “average weekly search number for the App Store was 373.211.396, which means that a great many people check out the store every week.
It’s worth scanning through the report. The report is only two pages, making it easy to read. Apple announced that the report would be published annually in 2021. I’m interested to see what changes will occur when we get to look at the report for 2023 next year.
Apple has shared more than just App Store statistics this week. revealed blocked $2.09billion in fraudulent transactions last year. Apple could share more information at its Worldwide Developers Conference , which begins on June 5th.
