Apple quietly released a slightly cheaper third-generation AirPods option in September that came with a Lightning only charging case. This option is currently available for $10 less at Amazon, Best Buy and Walmart. We recommend buying the MagSafe compatible model at B&H Photo, for $179. You can also get it at Sam’s Club or Costco, for $170, if you’re an existing member.
