The Echo Show 8 comes in two models. Both have 8-inch displays and dual speakers, just like the Echo Show 5. The most recent model has a 13MP camera, and other software tricks that allow it to keep the subject in the frame even as they move.
The Echo Show 8 smart display is Amazon’s midsize model. It can display news, weather, calendars and grocery lists. It can be used to control smart home devices, stream video and listen to music. It supports video calling through Zoom or Amazon’s Alexa calling services.

The new Echo show 15 smart display is large and wall-mounted, unlike other Amazon Echo displays. It has a 15.6 inch touch screen. It replaces bulletin boards and calendars. As such, it can be used as a shared hub by families, where everyone can see digital sticky notes and reminders. You can use it to display artwork and photos, or as a 1080p TV in the kitchen. It even supports Alexa. Although it is compatible with an additional stand, we believe it will still be a better fit on your wall than your countertop due to its size.
Since the Echo Show 15 launched in 2021, we have seen only a few discounts. The steepest dropped it to $169.99. It’s not currently available at a discounted price, but you can get it now at Amazon and Best Buy for $194.99 (or $55 off).
