E3 will be making a grand comeback this summer after it has not held a Los Angeles-based event since 2019. E3 has had difficulty gaining widespread support from the major players of the videogame industry, with ReedPop as the PAX organizer. Ubisoft was the only company to confirm that it would attend E3 2019, but the creator of Assassin’s Creed is now taking the initiative to change the course. Ubisoft will not be attending E3 2023 and instead will hold a Ubisoft Forward Event in June.
E3 2023 runs June 13th through 16th . It has been cancelled by Ubisoft. Nintendo has already stated that it will not be attending E3. Microsoft will instead host the Xbox Games Showcase and a separate Starfield event on June 11th. Sony has not yet confirmed its E3 plans. However, I would wager that it will be absent. The reported January that Sony would not be attending. The company has not been to E3 since 2019.
E3 will also compete with Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest which takes place just days before E3 . It has become a major event for big summer game reveals and is now a mainstay. It’s also where we found the first Elden Ring gameplay video. Although gaming news is still a big topic in LA, it seems like the E3 showfloor might have the best content.Heather Haefner, spokesperson for Ubisoft, said in a statement that E3 “has fostered unforgettable moments throughout the industry throughout the years.”
