WhatsApp has announced and rolled out , a set of new features that are designed to enhance the messaging app’s polls. You will also have more caption options. These options will be available globally in the next few weeks.
The first feature is polls. WhatsApp launched this feature last year. By default, polls have multiple choices. This is great when asking people to choose from a list of all their free dates (which I see them most often used for), but not so good when you only want each person to select one answer. There’s now a toggle that allows multiple responses when creating a survey for this purpose.
The polls feature has also been enhanced with a search function that allows you to quickly locate polls in your chats, and you can now receive notifications whenever someone responds to your poll.
It should be easier to send captions with photos and videos now (which was a little tricky in the olden days). When forwarding photos, you can now “keep, delete, or completely rewrite the caption” that was originally attached.
WhatsApp now allows you to add captions along with a document. The service says that you can now add a caption to a document or newspaper article before sharing.
