Xiaomi13 Ultra will be launched in China on 18th April. The Chinese manufacturer teased several aspects of its phone ahead of the launch. The company has revealed details regarding the smartphone’s camera sensors. The company has now revealed the first official design of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. It looks more like an actual camera than a phone. The next flagship will be the Xiaomi 13S Ultra and it will have Leica-tuned camera.
Lei Jun, the CEO of Xiaomi, shared two promotional images for the Xiaomi 13 Ultra in a recent Weibo posting. The images tease the design of the handset. The image is of a smartphone silhouette with a camera design. Jun wrote, “With this suit’s blessing, the phone becomes a camera!” Mi 13 Ultra offers a wide range of professional photography. “There are so many cool things in this set”, and that more details will be revealed and discussed during the press conference.
Although it’s not clear from the image, one can assume that the bump-like grip and camera seen in the promo is an external case which can be attached to and detached from Xiaomi 13 Ultra. The Xiaomi 12S Ultra Concept was able to accept a Leica M series lens module. It is likely that Xiaomi will use a similar mechanism.
The company states that “the Xiaomi 13 Ultra is a professional imaging tool, not a phone with a camera.” The official post adds that a special model of the smartphone will be given away at the launch press conference on April 18.
confirmed earlier today that the handset will feature Leica-tuned Leica cameras, Summicron lenses, and Sony IMX858 and Sony IMX989 sensors. The quad camera set-up will feature a Sony IMX989 50-megapixel sensor and three Sony IMX858 50-megapixel sensors. These are said to have improved noise reduction technology and HDR features.
According to reports in the past, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra may be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB internal storage. According to reports, the handset will include a 6.7″ WQHD+ LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
It is expected that the smartphone will also come with a front-facing 32-megapixel camera. Xiaomi 13 Ultra will ship with MIUI 14 based on Android 13. According to leaked reports, it could also be equipped with a 4,900mAh lithium-ion battery that is capable of 90W fast charging.
